| "Street legal" is going to depend on emmisions laws according to where you live. I live in rural Ky so I can run without Cats and marry my sister and nobody complains...try doing either one of those in a big city and youll get into trouble. Any time you mod a car you increase the likely hood of there being prooblems. There are a lot of different component configerations that would allow for 500hp ...so to properly anwser the question would depend on what mods were used to get there. I know that you can build a 500hp Z that is very reliable but not everyone chooses to go that way...usually due to $$$$
